HF Series hollow fiber MBR membranes are designed for biological wastewater treatment systems where stable solid–liquid separation and high effluent quality are required.
They enable efficient biomass retention and consistent filtration performance, supporting compact and reliable MBR operation for municipal and industrial applications.
HF Series - Hollow Fiber MBR Membranes
The HF Series membranes are specifically developed for submerged membrane bioreactor systems, combining biological treatment with membrane separation in a single process.
The hollow fiber configuration allows treated water to pass through the membrane while retaining activated sludge and microorganisms, enabling high biomass concentration and efficient biological degradation in wastewater treatment applications.
Key Features
Typical Applications

Wastewater Sources
• Municipal wastewater
• Industrial wastewater
Industries & Systems
• Municipal wastewater treatment plants
• Industrial effluent treatment and reuse systems
• MBR-based water reclamation projects
Membrane Element Working Principle

Step 1 – Submerged Operation
The membrane module is submerged in the MBR tank containing activated sludge.
Step 2 – Filtration Process
Treated water is drawn through the hollow fiber membranes, while sludge and microorganisms are retained.
Step 3 – Permeate Collection
Filtered water is collected through the permeate outlet.
Step 4 – Fouling Control
Air scouring and periodic backwashing reduce membrane fouling.
Step 5 – Continuous Operation
The system operates continuously with stable effluent quality.
