Membrane Element Working Principle

Submerged Hollow Fiber MBR Module Process Overview

Step 1 – Submerged Operation

The membrane module is submerged in the MBR tank containing activated sludge.

Step 2 – Filtration Process

Treated water is drawn through the hollow fiber membranes, while sludge and microorganisms are retained.

Step 3 – Permeate Collection

Filtered water is collected through the permeate outlet.

Step 4 – Fouling Control

Air scouring and periodic backwashing reduce membrane fouling.

Step 5 – Continuous Operation

The system operates continuously with stable effluent quality.
